Customised Jellycat® in Singapore: The 2025-Compliant Way

Updated November 2025. If you’ve been searching “jellycat customised” or “Jellycat with name,” here’s the current picture. In mid-2025, Jellycat® instructed retailers not to customise plush toys in any way, including embroidery, patches, stickers, or any other alteration to the product itself. That means no stitching on the bunny’s ear, foot, or body at the point of sale.

The good news? You can still create the same magical “with a name” moment without altering the toy, using our removable, embroidered Name Jumper that fits medium-size Jellycat® toys, Steiff bears, and other favourite plush companions.

Why “customised Jellycat” stopped (and what that means for you)

  • From mid-2025, stockists were instructed not to customise Jellycat plush in any way (embroidery, patches, stickers, or any alteration to the toy).
  • As a result, all authorised retailers retired what used to be called personalised/customised Jellycat.
  • The safest and guideline compliant approach is to add personalisation to a separate accessory so the plush stays pristine, returnable, and gift-ready.

Our policy: we don’t stitch Jellycat plush. Instead, we personalise a removable jumper designed to fit medium Jellycat sizes for that sought-after customised look.

The elegant solution: a removable Name Jumper (customised look, no stitching)

  • Fits medium-size Jellycat® plush (e.g., Bashful Bunny M and similar medium styles), plus Steiff bears and similar toys
  • Embroidery options: name or initials; multiple thread colours; premium fonts.
  • Craftsmanship: Our jumper is built to last, with high-density stitching for a premium embroidery feel and a clean, luxe finish
  • Luxury finish: premium knit designed based on years of experience, to complement top-brand plush; beautifully gift-packaged.
  • Fast SG delivery: same/next-day options available

Are patches, stickers or heat-press decals allowed on Jellycat plush?

Short answer: We don’t apply them and we don’t recommend them.

As noted above: In mid-2025, Jellycat® instructed retailers not to customise plush toys in any way, including embroidery, patches, stickers, or any other alteration. That’s why authorised retailers no longer add sewn/heat-pressed patches, vinyl decals, brand stickers, or similar modifications to Jellycat items at point of sale. Our solution is to personalise a separate accessory.

Be cautious when you see “we still embroider Jellycat”

  • Ask for a written policy on modifications, warranties, and returns
  • Confirm whether they are an authorised stockist and where personalisation occurs
  • To avoid risk, choose a removable jumper so the toy stays unaltered and gift-ready

FAQs

Can I still get a Jellycat customised?

Yes, with a removable Name Jumper. Authorised retailers no longer stitch the plush itself. Our accessory gives you the “with a name” moment without altering the toy.

Can you add patches or stickers to Jellycat plush?

No. We don’t add patches, stickers, heat transfers or pins to Jellycat plush. Retailer guidance stops customising the toy in any way. We personalise the removable jumper instead.

Can I use a local tailor to customise my plush?

It’s your choice. We don’t modify Jellycat® toys or provide guidance on methods. If you proceed with a private tailor, please verify their safety practices and experience in writing — plush fabrics, fillings and safety eyes are sensitive to needles, heat, glues and small parts. For a safer alternative, we personalise a removable jumper (sweater) instead.
